Poor rude service, poor quality and charged for something we didn’t receive!

点评：We visited here today as a large group for a baby shower. The room itself was lovely, and a perfect for the size of the group however the experience of afternoon tea was not so good. So much so that we would NOT return.
We didn’t like the service of tea/coffee. We sat for about 45 mins before being brought the first cup of tea/coffee then each time had to constantly ask for milk etc by which point the cup of tea/coffee had gone cold if it wasn’t already cold before being served.
The quality and portion size of food for the cost was inadequate. Each platter brought to the table to accommodate 3 of us (at a cost of £63 for the 3 portions) felt ridiculously overpriced (stale sandwiches and cakes that seemed like Iceland defrost at home ones out of a Christmas buffet selection) .
There were 4 of us sat together and we were brought a platter of 3 so one person did not have a portion despite paying a deposit for one. When this issue was raised upon leaving with a senior member of the serving team we were rudely told that there should have been enough portions to accommodate on the full table but that certainly was not the case and made to made to pay.
We had 2 girls sat next to us with a platter for 2 then 2 other platters of 3 on the whole table for another 6 people. We were offered more food, however at this point we had been here for 2.5 hours and we were leaving so declined. We were made to pay for the tea for 2 even though we didn’t receive the missing afternoon tea. Even though they offered more food this was upon leaving and the rude woman behind the counter still refused to accept that there wasn’t the correct servings provided. We are now out of pocket for an afternoon tea we didn’t receive and most definitely wont return
