LIED to me regarding being open on Saturday 5/24/25, despite me calling 3 days before
Millard's Crossing Historic Village, Inc.的点评
点评：Our family planned to visit Nacogdoches for the Memorial Day weekend, and I called on Wednesday, 5/21/25, just a few days before our planned arrival in town on Friday. I was assured during the telephone call that the Village would be open on Saturday, but not on Monday for the holiday.
Saturday, 5/24/25, we arrived at Millard's Crossing to find the Village in the midst of a wedding and we were glared at by the participants as we drove down to the office. Several wedding guests appeared to be highly upset by the intrusion of visitors to their private event, as it appeared their attitude suggested the wedding fee paid entitled them to ownership of the property. Upon entering the office I was told the Village was closed due to the private event. I stated I called three days earlier and was told the Village would be open, and the lady I spoke to in the office was neither apologetic, nor did she seemed concerned in any way when I told her we drove 3.5 hours to spend the weekend in Nacogdoches! We had already tried to visit three other museums in town, that I had also been assured would be open and was not, so this was the absolute final straw. We ended up going to Caddo Mounds where we had a lovely visit, and was treated like royalty by the staff there.
Don't bother visiting Millard's Crossing Historic Village!
From my experience, the staff are liars, apathetic, and appear to hate visitors from out of town, but love paid wedding parties. I don't understand what kind of idiot tells someone they will be open on Saturday, knowing full well that a wedding party will be using the premises, and as such visitors will not be allowed to visit.

就我的经验而言，那里的工作人员都是骗子，冷漠无情，而且似乎讨厌外地游客，却喜欢花钱办婚礼。我不明白是什么样的傻瓜会告诉别人他们周六会开放，明知会有婚礼派对使用场地，因此游客将不被允许参观。
