A 5-star cosy retreat
St Giles House的点评
点评：We stayed in one of the cute little Pepperpot Lodges on the estate. It’s barely big enough to swing a cat but because of this it was incredibly cosy, and the limited space has been thoughtfully designed and styled. There is a wonderful shabby-chic cohesive design all the way through, which is more chic than shabby! The bed was very comfy with duck down duvet and pillows and the bathroom was 5 stars with old school loo and a lovely roomy shower with very good water pressure. The kitchen is fitted with all the mod cons and plenty of utensils, we cooked in both nights of our stay as it really did feel like a home away from home. Plenty of wood and kindling had been left by the log burner so we had the fire lit for most of our stay. In addition a lovely hamper had been left for us, consisting of freshly baked bread and pastries, milk, eggs and fruit. We really couldn’t fault it. It’s a shame the village pub has shut down but we found somewhere a 5-minute drive just down the road in the next village called The Cockerel which has just been lovingly refurbished. All in all we would highly recommend staying in one of the Pepperpot Lodges for a cosy and relaxed weekend away.
