点评：I had talked so much to my partner, about my first visit to Wemyss Castle Gardens, he was determined (as was I) to visit while we were in the area. The gardens are a pure joy, wandering round the various ‘garden rooms’ marvelling at the sheer variety of plants, flowers and shrubs. Of course we were so lucky with the weather, the sunshine meant we could sit in the sun whenever we wanted and just marvel at all around us. We had just struck lucky with our timings and could see the ‘waterfalls ‘ of Clematis, so many colours and shapes. The whole experience was sheer pleasure and to add to an already brilliant time, I have to mention the very kind welcome we received from Mike who gave us a potted history and showed us the swathes of bluebells which stretched through the woodland. I met the wonderful Mariusz again, on my previous visit with a friend he was so kind and generous with his knowledge, he made the visit to the Castle gardens the standout day of our holiday. A true gentleman. And we also met the new head gardener Carl, another welcoming and enthusiastic chat about the wonders of the garden. I could go on and on but must finish by saying, if you’re in the area, I highly recommend a visit. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
