点评:I have recently returned from an incredible 21-day trip around northern Pakistan. I was the only person on the tour (I think someone else had booked but could not get a visa) but Oasis still ran the trip for me alone, so that I had my own personal tour guide and driver.
Northern Pakistan must boast some of the most spectacular mountain scenery on earth. One can get overwhelmed by all the statistics as to how many of the world's highest 30 or 50 or 80 mountains are in Pakistan, but suffice to say the views throughout the tour were absolutely amazing. Nanga Parbat is the undoubted highlight; pulling back the curtains of my log cabin at dawn to see the world's 9th highest mountain - covered in snow all year round - is a sight I will never forget. The gorges of the upper Indus River and its tributaries are also spectacular.
It is fair to say that many of the roads (stone tracks really) on which we drove were challenging and a lot of the towns through which we passed were pretty unappealing, but it all added to an incredible experience. One goes to this region very much for the awe-inspiring scenery, although the visit to Taxila, Sirkup and the Jaulian Monastery is a powerful reminder that Pakistan's history did not start in 1947.
The hotels in which we stayed were all much better than I had anticipated and with three meals a day included in the tour price, I hardly needed any spending money at all.
This trip will really change your perception of Pakistan and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you Oasis

Oasis
