A must-visit on Loch Ness! A restored mansion, fascinating, and brilliantly done

点评：We visited Boleskine House and it’s one of the most memorable stops we’ve made around Loch Ness. After years of restoration, it’s now fully open and the results are stunning. You can really feel the care that’s gone into bringing this historic house back to life. We visited Inverness Castle as well and have to say Boleskine House is better and has far exceeded expectations. Expect this place to get popular quickly!
There is a self-guided tour coming out in April which we are told will take around an hour to complete and the story is genuinely unique. This house has Highland history, folklore, Jacobite connections, and the famous Crowley legacy. We also loved the sense that this is a living project with real people working here and every day working to improve the estate and grounds.
The setting is beautiful and it has amazing views of Loch Ness, beautiful flower beds and nice wildflower meadows.
Practical info (worth knowing):
Open daily from April 2026, 10:00am–4:00pm
Whisky and gin tastings run in the afternoon from 4:00pm and must be pre-booked (do it in advance — they will sell out)
