Great Tour - As Advertised - Just a Couple of Minor Issues

点评：My wife and I booked an 11 day custom Whisky Tour of Scotland. Braw really delivered! Pre-trip planning and communications were excellent and the staff worked with us to tailor things to exactly what we wanted. Everything promised in the contract was delivered as described. Our driver Martine deserves 10 stars. She went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience. She was constantly doing little things that might go unnoticed by some - things like checking weather and ferry schedules then planning alternate activities in the event something interfered with the itineary. Furthermore, her knowledge of Scotland, the history, the geography, the lore, and the sites we visited was in-depth and informative. So you might be wondering, Why not 5 stars? First, we had issues at two of the nine hotels - one did not have a ground floor room requirement in the reservation, and one was not pre-paid (Braw corporate had the driver pay it, with the promise of reimbursement). Second, Braw frequently booked the driver into lodging quite a distance from our hotels (in one extreme case, it was 45 mins away). With the November weather and long hours of darkness, this had potential to cause issues such as the driver being tired or weather preventing the driver from getting to our pickup on time. Neither happened to us (primarily because Martine was prepared for such evantualities), but the potential was there. Still, with those two relatively minor issues aside, we were very happy with Braw and would strongly consider booking with them again if we return to Scotland.
