Animals mostly in confined muddy conditions.

点评：Given the negative reviews I'd read about the conditions many of the animals are housed at this zoo, we weren't planning on visiting. However, our alternate plans fell through and we were right by the zoo. So for the few dollars entry we decided to visit.
Unfortunately most of the reviews are true. The conditions of most animals is pretty average. Large, roaming animals (tigers, deer, hippos etc) are kept in small concrete cages or otherwise sitting around in muddy conditions. We viewed tigers pacing back and forth in small cages, bears doing the same. Deer/antelope etc sitting in mud, with not a blade of grass in their enclosure. Unfortunately, the zoo looks like it was built decades ago when us humans just wanted to look at wild animals, without really considering what conditions those wild animals were housed in.
Overall pretty depressing to be honest.
The butterflies had a large enclosure - relatively speaking.
