A Wonderful Place to Meet Australia's Wildlife Up Close.
Maru Koala and Animal Park的点评
点评：Maru Koala and Animal Park was one of the most enjoyable wildlife experiences during our visit to Phillip Island. Although it is not a huge attraction, it offers something many larger parks cannot — a relaxed atmosphere and genuine opportunities to get close to Australia's iconic animals.
The highlight for us was being able to observe the animals at close range and interact with some of them. The kangaroos and wallabies were friendly and curious, and it was a pleasure to hand-feed them. We also enjoyed seeing the koalas resting in the eucalyptus trees and watching the colourful birds around the park. One of my favourite moments was spotting a sleepy koala stretched out on a branch, completely relaxed and seemingly unconcerned about the visitors below.
The park is well laid out with easy walking paths, plenty of shade, and numerous opportunities for photography. Wildlife photographers and animal lovers will find no shortage of subjects. During our visit we were able to capture some wonderful photos of native birds and animals in natural-looking surroundings.
What impressed me most was the educational aspect of the park. The keeper talks provide interesting information about Australia's unique wildlife, conservation efforts, and the challenges faced by injured and orphaned animals. Knowing that the park is involved in wildlife rehabilitation added another layer of appreciation to the experience.
Families with children will find plenty to do, and there are additional activities such as mini golf and a café for those wanting to spend several hours on site. The atmosphere feels friendly and welcoming rather than commercial, which made the visit even more enjoyable.
If you are visiting Phillip Island and would like a closer encounter with Australian wildlife than you might get in the wild, Maru Koala and Animal Park is definitely worth including in your itinerary.
