Free entry with a mix of easy and harder walking routes.
Rossmore Forest Park, Monaghan的点评
点评：A very pleasant location for short easy walks, or longer and more testing routes.
I only have two gripes. The first is that the toilet block is pretty old and dirty. The second is that there is a plethora of different coloured trails and waymarks that can cause initial confusion because the main information board in the car park shows the same routes in different colours. However, once you've come to terms with that, the trails are well marked.
There was plentiful free parking.
The coffee shop was closed on the Tuesday we visited.
The park is well maintained, largely litter free and refreshingly, we saw no dog mess on the trails.
There is also an impressive playpark.
There is quite a lot of birdlife to be seen, eg, Robins, Blue Tits, Great Tits, Moorhens, Teal Ducks and Mute Swans
We particularly liked the Yew Tree Avenue but it takes a bit of walking to get there.
Overall, in my opinion, this is a nice place to visit if you are within relatively easy reach.
