点评：Our trip to Madagascar was enhanced by Soul of Madagascar’s fantastic team who helped us learn about their culture, the environment and the animals. We were most impressed with the team in East Madagascar - Michael and Ambinintsoa, also known as Ambi! They took us to Analamazaotra National Park, Lake Ampitabe, the Palmerium Reserve, and a number of other fascinating places. They are quite the team. Michael speaks very good English and he has a lot of knowledge about the region and helped us to really appreciate his people and the animals. Ambi is a fantastic driver and we certainly encountered some challenging road conditions.
Theresia, the owner, was prompt in responding to our requests. We were delayed starting our trip due to plane delays coming out of London, however Theresia was able to accommodate us and rejigged our itinerary so we could still see all the promising sites. Nina gave us a tour of the Queen’s palace in Tana and that was enjoyable. She is knowledgeable about the 400yr history of the building and monarch!
We also spent 4nights in Nosy Be, which was so different from Eastern Madagascar. Soul of Madagascar organised a lovely hotel with beautiful views over the north coast. We really enjoyed the daily trip to the islands for snorkelling with the sea turtles, and the delicious seafood lunches
Food was excellent in all of our places. Definitely at the Cypress lodge have the duck confit! I know….it was excellent.
We highly recommend using Soul of Madagascar to organise your trip.
