点评：This has to be one of the best day trips we've taken in a long time.
David and Paul were there to direct parking at Oughterard before we even boarded.
The trip past the islands and onto Inchagoill before arriving at Ashford Castle, is so full of interest that it would be a marvellous day anyway. But with David at the helm and also the narrator of tales and tour guide, it becomes something magical. The wonderful sense of humour and story telling brings all the local facts to life. There was a LOT of laughing.
It was particularly special for me, as I wanted to sail past an island where my great grand parents had once worked. Paul went out of his way to tell me everything he knew about the island and even offered to take photos of me as we sailed by. Such an interesting and kind man. David too made everyone welcome and chatted like every passenger was a friend.
The stop at Ashford Castle ( Cong) is long enough to have lunch, but you also get access to the castle gardens and a free cuppa at the coffee shop, as part of the Corrib Cruises ticket.
Six hours so well spent. We felt on a real high at the end of the trip. We are missing David and Paul already.
