Ted's Tours的点评
点评：Ted conducts his tour on a full size bus, thankfully air conditioned, so about 30 people. We left early and headed into Bridgetown, with Ted pointing out all the historical and interesting spots. He was full of information about the island and its long history, as well as about his and his family’s history on the island. On through Holetown, and had an hour stop in Speightstown to look around and stop for lunch on our own. He suggested some spots, and we had a quick lunch at Fisherman’s Pub and also managed a stop at PRC Bakery. Across the island to Cherry Tree Hill, with a lovely lookout across the east coast. There were some vendors set up with some souvenir and craft type items. Watched the St Nicholas Abbey Heritage Railway steam engine arrive. This our refreshment stop as well, and Ted had a great selection - mostly everything rum - either rum punch or every imaginable mix, also beer, soft drinks. Very generous pours! Then down the east coast to Bathsheba to see the huge coral rock formations. Ted had information, stories and jokes about everything and knows everyone. The roads are in rough shape, with potholes everywhere, and difficult to avoid in a big bus, made worse by all the rain they’ve been having. Last stop was St. John's Parish Anglican Church, a lovely old Gothic inspired church, with a very interesting private cemetery. I did not appreciate that there were a couple of vendors set up in the parking lot, for our benefit, an author with his books, and a gentleman with crafts. We were encouraged to visit, and my husband was practically strong-armed into buying a book. This was also a refreshment stop! It was a full day, and lots of fun. Ted is a great tour guide.
