Great Way To See So Much
Fit in Crete的点评
点评：Being that we live in a flat beach town, we have never needed e-bikes but, after our 50 km long e-bike trip with Miltos into the foothills of the White Mountains in northwestern Crete to the Theriso Gorge and beyond, we have become believers in their convenience. Along with one other rider & Miltos, we had a great, looong day climbing up, up, up into the hills, assisted so nicely by the batteries on the bikes (which was also VERY helpful as we went speeding with the wind back downhill at the end of the ride), stopping at 12th century church ruins, public drinking fountains, picking figs & carobs from hillside trees, passing orange & olive groves, pomegranate trees, vineyards, low slung bushes of natural spices, wandering goats & terrific views of valleys & mountains, both near & far. Miltos gave us running commentary on all that we saw & you could feel his love for Crete & all that it gives to him. (He owned a bar for 20 years & gave it up so he could spend more time outdoors, & he sure does!) Reserving, getting & returning the bikes was super easy, Fiona, one of the owners of Fit In Crete, along with her husband, Manu, was welcoming & later, walked us to the local bus stop, giving us precise & much appreciated directions how to return to our hotel in Chania.
