点评:The park could be absolutely beautiful, if only everyone using it was considerate of the other people using it.
I have a dog. I keep her on lead. This is for several reasons, but the main two is that there is enormous signage stating that dogs should be on lead, and for the safety of others who may not want to interact with dogs (including young children, people who are scared of dogs, dogs who are scared of other dogs).
It is deeply unfair to ruin the experience of nature for those who do not want to interact with dogs. Owners who have zero or little recall of their pets should not have them off lead in public spaces. Owners should pick up dog poo, not leave it for toddlers and others to walk through.
My further thoughts were that it was disgustingly dirty, with litter strewn around and bins that are overflowing, despite there being large, industrial bins that these could be emptied in to. Surely one of the park's many hi vis vested employees can do this, rather than take public smoke breaks and chat with their friends?
The pond is absolutely disgusting, and can only be described as smelling rancid.
Education is needed to prevent both dogs and people trying to chase the wildlife.
It's a shame, because this could be beautiful.
