点评：The Flatford Mill complex consists of the Mill Building itself, Willy Lotts Cottage, the scene of Constables Hay Wain, the John Constable Exhibition housed in an out building, Flatford Bridge Cottage, a NT Café and a N.T. Car park where it will cost you £5 to park unless you are an NT Member. The café isn’t one of N.T.’s finest and there are no toilets here, you have to use the one in the car park. The exhibition to John Constable is small but well put together and very informative about his time living and painting in this part of the world. I suggest you see this first and then visit the Mill Pond and then enjoy trying to recreate the Hay Wain photographically. The Mill and Willy Lotts Cottage are not open to the public but used for education purposes and there were several school classes visiting on the Monday we were there.
There are several excellent walks in the area and the one we did was from Dedham, along the Stour Valley Path & St Edmund Way to get here, which is very flat and has the benefit of being next to water for the majority of it.
