A wonderful 9 days around beautiful Flores

点评：We just completed a 9 day tour of beautiful Flores from Moni to Labuan Bajo organised by Matteo. He was very helpful, responsive and a great communicator. The tour was well organised and accommodation was perfect for us. We took a few extra days to accommodate our 3 kids and make it less busy. Army was our lovely, kind, very skilled driver. He had the patience of a saint and put up with endless fighting in the car 😬 and helped us with many unscheduled toilet stops! Our last day was his birthday.. Happy birthday again Army!
William was our exceptional local guide for Bajawa and the traditional villages. An amazing experience never to be forgotten.
My one recommendation ( as with all tourism operations in Indonesia) is to improve the environmental impact we as tourists have.
1. Request a gallon container of water and refill your water bottles with a pump rather than millions of bottles. They can be refilled all over Flores.
2. Also to request that you and the guides take rubbish away with you from the traditional villages and 17 islands rather than leave it there, including cigarette butts and also have a rubbish bag with you to pick up bits as you go ( particularly straws and rings that are dangerous for marine life and animals).
3. Also request the boat drivers do not throw the anchors into the reef not take you at low tide to shallow places - the beautiful reef is being trashed by anchors and tourists fins)
It was a fabulous time and one we will never forget. Thankyou so much Matteo, Army and William. Terimakasih Banyak!!!!
Flores has a special place in our hearts and we recommend your tours to anyone who would like to experience it!
