点评:Visited the pumpkin fields on Sunday 19th October. Unfortunately, our visit started on a disappointing note due to one of the staff members working at the entrance gate.
There are some lovely pumpkin displays near the entrance with bales of hay in front — clearly set up as photo spots since the pumpkins are displayed quite high. One of the children was told off by the staff member for standing on the hay, as she said she didn’t want it to get muddy. Considering it was already pouring with rain, and this is a family event aimed at children, it seemed a little unreasonable. Naturally, kids are going to want to climb or stand on the hay to get a better look — and several others were doing the same.
A few minutes later, as we waited to have our tickets checked, the same lady came out again to tell the same child off for simply touching the ropes in the queue. She wasn’t causing any damage — just lightly touching them, as most children do. The staff member’s attitude felt unnecessarily sharp and irritated, which really dampened the start of our visit.
It’s such a shame, as the setting itself is lovely and clearly a lot of effort has gone into the displays. Unfortunately, this one interaction left a negative impression. I hope the management can remind staff that families with young children are the heart of this event — and that a friendly, patient approach makes all the difference.
