点评：Chandi Devi temple is situated at a height of 2900 meters on Neel Parvat in the Shivalik range of Eastern part of Himalayas which is dedicated to Maa Chandi Devi. One can reach Chandi Devi temple by a 4 km trek route which will take 45 to 60 minutes time to reach. Other option is Ropeway services provided by Udankhatola in 1997. Travel time is 5 minutes. You can buy tickets for one way or two way. There is also combo ticket available for both Manasa devi and Chandi Devi Ropeway including transportation between two temples. We have booked the same which saves your time.
Distance from Haridwar to Chandi Devi temple is 7 km. It is one of the most visited temple in Haridwar.

1. Chandi Devi temple is one of the Shaktipeeth dedicated to Chandrika Devi, who is a form of Maa Parvati. Chandrika Devi came to existence to Kill the demon kings Shumba and Nishumbha.
2. Chandi Devi temple is one of the three Siddh Peeths of Haridwar, the other two Siddh peeths are Manasa Devi and Maya Devi, which are located within Haridwar City.
3. The Main idol of Chandi Devi in the temple is believed have been installed in 8th Century by Adi Shankaracharya. The present seen temple was constructed in 1929 by Kashmir king Suchat Singh.
4. It is believed that after Chandi Devi Killed Shumbha and Nishumbha, Maa Chandi rested for a while on Neel Parvat.
5. It is said that goddesses Manasa and Chandi, the two form of goddess Parvati always reside close to each other. In Haridwar also in the same way both temple are located.
