Do not go to this place of animal torture
Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary的点评
点评：This was the most upsetting and soul destroying experience I have had in India. I was excited and hoped to see large wild animals at this wild life sanctuary instead I saw torture and despair.
I arrived and met some other travellers who asked if I wanted to join their jeep surfari, however there were not any jeeps available so we jumped on the bus. As we entered the park I excitedly saw an elephant and then another and another I was amazed and then I realized they all had short chains around one foot. The elephants were trapped they had only a metre length of chain to move. I was horrified I could not believe someone describing itself as a sanctuary chained it's animals up. There were about 12 elephants in total. I would rather not have seen any. It absolutely ruined my day, as an animal healer I could not believe I had given money to this organisation.
The rest of the tour was dismal, there were deers, but I saw more outside the park whilst walking and one buffalo. I thought buffalo were herd creatures this one was strategically placed for the bus driver to stop and see from a distance I wondered if this creature had invisible chains or fences keeping it in place. We then went on the main road and saw a peacock in the distance. All of these creatures and more I have seen in my homestead in the forest. Do not give your money to this place of lies and torture. Carefully Walk in the nature around the park or sit and you will see the forests are alive
