点评：A great place to mess about on a pedalo in the only freshwater lake on Crete. The water is stunning; so clear and all shades of blue. The pedalos are very busy and we counted over 200 on the water but there is still
Plenty of lake to creat your own space, have a swim and drift about. Pedalos are available all the accessible side of the lake and cost about €20 for an hour.
There is plenty to see but do not get stuck in the reeds on the far side as the bottom is slimy and smells!
The lake has become far more touristy since our visit here 5 years ago.
The shorted, steep entrance is now lined with tourist shops selling all the usual tat. It rather detracts from the beauty and simplicity of the lake.
There are numerous restaurants to choose from all offering simulate fare for similar (reasonable) prices. Some restaurants offer sun bed use but not all so don’t be caught out as you’ll be charged for their use.
All in all it’s a good half day excursion especially with kids as some pedalos have slides and the swimming is exceptional.
