Port La Goulette的点评
点评：The question thst needs to be asked is why to Cruise ships use this place as a port of call?. Even from the deck of the ship you could see that the place was filthy. As newbies to the cruise seen, we were oblivious as to the perils we may face.
We disembarked from the ship and entered the 'purpose built' traditional village and browsed the many shops. All that was fine. we left this place and decised to go for a walk into la Goulette itself. Once we left the port grounds, we were besieged by men claiming to be legit taxi drivers. they would not leave us alone. the local police did nothing to help.
The further we left the port area it was apparent that we were entering 'no-mans land'. The are was tunbleweed heaven and very desolute and unkempt. We were constantly follwed by cars and motorbikes to a pont were we feared for our safety. We then made a quick return to the safety of the traditional village
some of our party had gone on the approved excursions via coach and stated it was not much different. Anywhere they stopped there were locals harassing them and the coches were pretty much under armed excort
My message to the cruise companies is that there are many many more beautiful ports of call in the meditterainian than this place so see no reason to include it going forward
