Lack of Duty of Care and Professionalism

点评：As a member of Cottingham Parks Golf Club I am extremely disappointed and surprised at their total lack of care. This week, I was badly burned on my foot caused by an accident with a member of staff. That in itself was not the problem as accidents happen. However, nobody at any time contacted me about the accident or to see how I was! This happened on the Monday so by Thursday tea time I wrote to say that this Health and Safety issue needed to be addressed with all catering staff to avoid it happening again to anybody else. By Friday lunch time still having had absolutely no contact or response, I went along to express how unprofessional and uncaring this was towards one of its members or in fact to anybody being injured on their premises. After having to chase this up, I received an email from the Catering Manager to say the staff had now been notified. Firstly, the professional and caring thing to do as a duty of care would have been to call and see how the injured person was. Secondly, this email with photos of my badly injured foot, at the very least warranted an immediate acknowledgement of receipt! One of the Directors was also copied in so no excuses there about people not being on shift. Although I have always found Cottingham Parks Health Spa enjoyable, some serious addressing and training is needed when it comes to Health and Safety issues, Duty of Care and professionalism in communication. Not everything is about taking the money. Very disappointing and actually shocking.
