点评:We were booked in for afternoon tea on 11th December. I was really looking forward to catching up with my friend, we'd paid in full in advance. It had taken a lot of effort on our part to get a date we could both make, my friend isn't local.
I arrived first and was told by the Manager that there was no chef so they had to cancel. Apparently we weren't told because they thought we had a spa day booked??
Not sure why that was relevant, we still needed to know, whether we were there for the day or not! Also the Manager took no accountability and kept making excuses as to why they hadn't rang and told us before we got there! She said they were ringing round to try and get another chef, I suggested we should have been given a heads up it was then our choice whether we took a chance and came or re scheduled!!
We asked for a refund and as the receptionist had made a quick exit the manager attempted to arrange my refund but she was unable to so we then had to wait while she went and found some cash to give us (not convenient when I had paid on credit card) by then I just wanted to get out of there so we accepted cash. Our bill was £42.75 each and she gave us the exact money. No attempt was made to offer us a goodwill gesture of any kind.
This bad experience could have been avoided by a) ringing us in the morning and offering to reschedule or b) own the problem when we got there, apologised and offered us complimentary use of the pool if we rescheduled. Very poor service!!

我们要求退款,但前台接待员匆匆离开,经理试图帮我办理退款,但她没能成功,所以我们只好等她去找现金(我用信用卡支付的,这很不方便)。那时我只想赶紧离开,所以我们接受了现金。我们每人账单是42.75英镑,她给了我们正好的钱。他们没有丝毫歉意,没有采取任何形式的补偿措施。
这种糟糕的经历本可以避免:a) 早上打电话来询问是否可以重新安排时间;b) 我们到店后主动承认问题,道歉并提出如果我们重新安排时间可以免费使用游泳池。服务太差了!!
