点评：It was a beautiful day in September and the winery was buzzing with activity. Food trucks, music, open grounds and enjoyed a tour of the winery. When I read about the winery, it was interesting to learn that the name came from the 1st owners mother's names, Laura and Rita. I am impressed seeing how the place has grown over the years. From 1998 to 2000 the first harvest was planted.(on 20 acres) By 2003, it was being bottled. 22 years later and it is now 40 fully cultivated acres. Walking through the winery will help you see how big it is. It is one of the biggest wineries in New Jersey. A lot of work has been done in 27 years. Laurita's tasting room building is very impressive. The building is constructed from 2 old barns from the land. It was formerly a dairy farm. The winery grows its own grapes and cultivates it on the premises. Today, one can even join when you go on the grape stomping days. That isn't used for their wine in case you were worried - Ha! The winery is being known for "taking Garden State Grapes and Making them Delicious." They have an impressive selection of wine varietals on their estate. A day at Laurita's is very enjoyable. Listening to the piano person play Billy Joel outside is a great way to sip some wine.
