点评：The bus arrived on time, with a friendly helpful driver. The bus drive from Linville to Benarkin was comfortable and the driver exhibited very safe behaviour. I walked from Benarkin back to Linville, 18 kilometres. It was a pleasant start, but 30 degrees by mid-day. the first half on the trail is through gum forest and hoop pine, and there is a fair amount of shade. the second half is more open, and through farmland. there was a lot of cattle along the way, including cows with young calves. be aware that mother cows are very, very protective of their calves, so give them a wide berth. i encountered a cow and calf in a railway cutting which did not provide any room for passing them by. the cow lowered her head and pressed against my body on two occasions, pushing me away. i eventually scrambled up the cutting cliff and got around them. happy Daze. So, watch out. there are some magnificent black boys along the second half of the walk. and vews looking down across Blackbutt creek and then out to timbered mountains in the background. there are a number of interesting historic sights, with signage. The walk is all downhill expect for crossings over blackbutt creek; maybe 6 or 7. The kilometrc posts dont align with the sign-post distances, or distances shown on some of the information signs. so be aware of distance - my step counter measured 27,700 steps and 18.8 kilometres. The walk took 4.5 hours, i am 76).
