Disappointing experience - did not live up to positive reviews

点评：We were really looking forward to the wildlife cruise today given all the really positive reviews. When we checked in at the office, the women running the desk were super friendly, but the positive experience pretty much ended there.
When we got to where you board, the boat pulled up and the captain and crew never said hello or acknowledged the passengers when we got onboard. We all then road the boat in silence for 35 minutes. Eventually, a member of the crew came out and talked to 2 out of the 20-25 people on board for about 5 minutes. No one else was able to hear him. We road the rest of the way back in silence. A couple of passengers even slept.
To be clear, we were not expecting to be on a fully narrated tour or anything like that, but when you’re spending your money with a business, it is kind of the bare minimum to say hello, thanks for coming, etc. Even if they weren’t going to tell us anything, where we were, what we were looking at, etc., this is where a simple hello or any acknowledgment would’ve gone a long way.
Also, the website advertises a whiskey bar. There was not a whiskey bar or anything like it on this boat.
We saw a few seals. You can’t go into these things with expectations on what you’re going to see because it is out of their control, so we were happy with that.
I have a couple of friends visiting Scotland next year, and I would really hesitate to recommend this to them. Hoping this was just an off day given other positive reviews, but not sure.
