Sunset camel ride with Uluṟu as the backdrop!

点评：My husband and I enjoyed a camel ride at sunset on Friday evening. It was a very well organised experience starting with being picked up from our hotel via a courtesy bus. Despite never having ridden a camel before, the staff were very helpful and reassuring. Camel attendants walked with us leading the camels and sharing interesting information about the camels, their training and their care. You could tell from the interactions between staff and camels that there was a lot of respect and care for the animals.
The one hour walk into the bush took us past a point where we could view Uluṟu and where we paused for plenty of photos. At times during the walk it was quiet and peaceful - no sound in the bush at sunset. Afterwards there were nibbles, home made damper and drinks ( soft and alcoholic) for 40 minutes or so before being driven back to our hotel. A special experience which we both recommend.
