Not too difficult but fitness needed for 20/30 mins up hill climb as quickly ascended to the top

点评：I followed the All Trails route from Buttermere a car park at Croft House Farm which has an amazing cafe for coffee and cake afterwards. The ascending part up to Rannerdale Knotts was quite steep and with it raining was a little sloppy under the feet over the cobbled stones up but I was only ascending for around 20/30 mins. The walk through the woods by the stream was beautiful. The views from the top of Rannerdale were unbelievable seeing Buttermere from that height and the rest of the peaks around you was just breath taking. There was a little bit of hard bits going down from
Rannerdale but I came across a family with a small child around 3/4 years old so it is do able. All in all the route took me around an hour and a half to do by following the AllTrails Buttermere and Rannerdale Knotts route.
