点评:was so excited to go today but extremely disappointed… arrived and there was no signs or guidance on what to do, eventually found a lady to speak to who very briefly told us “raspberries to the left, gooseberries over there”. went around to find hardly any fruit, sunflowers are all dead (which they state on their website you need to pay £100 + vat to take photos of if you aren’t picking them…) and everywhere was very badly signposted. strawberries sign pointed the wrong direction, but me and my boyfriend were still persevering. at 4:50, a very rude man came over to us on his scooter, once we had just gotten to the strawberries, and said we needed to leave as they close at 5. whilst I understand they close at 5 and was aware, as I literally just told my boyfriend this too, I asked if we could just quickly pick some strawberries and he was so rude back. we got to the till (at 4:52 so would have had time to get a couple strawberries and would have had even more time should they have had better sign posts or customer service but anyway), and I explained to the lady at the till how I was upset with how we were spoken to and advised her that the sign posts were wrong and perhaps you should advertise that you need to be back the shop for 4:50, to which she responded “well I’ve been here since 8am so we want to go home”. as much as I appreciate the hot weather, this is not how you approach customer service. I voiced how we would not be returning, to which not even an apology was made. walked away with about 10 raspberries, so wouldn’t bother if I were you. such a shame as me and my boyfriend have been so excited to come here, we both work full time so even left work early to make it (says last picking at 4:30 but even arriving at 4:15 wasn’t enough time with the lack of signs, another thing they should probably change on their website) but never mind! would defo recommend the sunflower trial at horton (completely free to walk around fyi) or the blueberry field at trehane, much better customer service and a lot more selection to choose from 🤭
