A lot smaller than we expected but still worth a visit.
Whitchurch Silk Mill的点评
点评：The whole site (mill, cafe and grounds) is very small and next to a main road - which is not what we expected. We had expected the mill to be situated down some country lane and be much bigger in terms of size and grounds.
At £11 entry for an adult, even allowing for the fact that it entitles visitors to visit free for a year, this is far too expensive. During our visit the waterwheel could not be viewed as the room had been closed off which was disappointing.
The Mill is a small building with two small floors of looms, machinery and exhibits and whilst the surroundings by the beautiful River Test are serene, there are no extensive grounds to walk around.
Cafe served excellent food and there were toilet facilities and free parking.
You can also buy duck food here to feed the ducks on the river, which we did.
