Over priced lacklustre experience!
Northwest Railway Museum的点评
点评：The directions on the website were poor — the coordinates led us to the wrong depot (the train shed, not Snoqualmie Station). We weren’t the only ones scrambling to get there on time.
The main reason we booked was for the steam train, which is heavily advertised on the website — but it wasn’t running, to the huge disappointment of our group of 12. For $252, we expected a better experience. There were no token tickets as keepsakes (something simple but memorable), and the overall ride felt lackluster from start to finish.
Onboard, visibility was poor. From the left side, we couldn’t see much and had to lean into other groups just to catch the single view of the valley. Despite being advertised, you cannot see Snoqualmie Falls from the train — trees completely block the view. It’s misleading to suggest otherwise.
There were also practical issues:
No food allowed on the train.
No restrooms on board.
The 25-minute stop at the train shed was rushed — not enough time to grab a snack from our bags, use the restroom, and explore the museum.
No narration or commentary was offered, which made the ride feel even more flat and disconnected from the rich history of the railway.
In the end, we paid a premium price for what amounted to sitting on a train staring at overgrown vegetation. Honestly, you’ll have a better time (for free) just visiting the museum and Snoqualmie Falls on your own. This ride is overpriced, underwhelming, and falsely advertised.
