They almost abandoned me at a rest stop on the highway

点评：I went on a trip from Cairo to Siwa with Compass. It's the worst travel company in Egypt I've ever dealt with on my 19 trips there.
When we left Cairo, one member of our group was left behind and had to arrange a city-to-city uber-like car to take her on the 8-hour drive to Siwa.
In Siwa, stuff kept going wrong. For example, they told us to meet in the hotel lobby for our tour at a certain time and then kept us waiting an hour before the bus finally came.
More than once, I heard Mohab the agency representative talking rudely and disrespectfully to our tour group leader.
We were told that on our way back to Cairo, we'd make a stop in Mersa Matrouh to see the famous beaches, but once we got underway we were told that there "wasn't time" to make the stop that we had been promised.
Some of us needed a restroom break on the north coast highway, so the bus pulled into a rest stop. Five of us got off to use the toilet. There were only 3 stalls, and I had the misfortune to be the 5th one able to get into a stall. I hurried as fast as I could, but when I came out I saw the bus pulling away preparing to enter the highway. Even though I'm 67 years old and mobility impaired, I did my best to run behind the bus waving my arms and screaming for it to stop. The people who had been sitting near me were screaming for the bus to stop, and finally it did just before entering the highway. I was so exhausted from running I could barely get on, and my heart was pounding. It seems Mohab the agency representative couldn't be bothered to count the number of people who got off and back on. Nor could he be bothered to count to make sure that all 30 people were on board before pulling away,
The hotels that Compass arranged were nice. And the tour guide in Siwa was excellent.
I love Egypt, and I want to go back to Siwa. But I won't ever use Compass again.
