点评:The Museo della Carta in Amalfi was an absolute highlight of our trip! Our captain, Camillo from Plaghia Charter, recommended we visit—and we are so glad he did.
Our guide, Allesia, was in training but already so knowledgeable, engaging, and fun—she made the history of papermaking fascinating from start to finish. We even had the chance to make our own sheet of paper by hand, which was such a unique and memorable experience. Allesia also walked us through the incredible old machines used in the process and explained the evolution of “fancy” paper over the centuries.
One of the most amazing parts was learning about the water running under the city and how, at one time, 18 different papermills all used the same river water to power their production.
It is well worth the walk out of the heart of the city to get to this hidden gem—interactive, educational, and unforgettable!
