点评：I’m not sure why the overall rating so far for this mansion tour is a 3.9 because as I scroll through the other reviews, they’re quite high. All I can think of is there must be very old reviews from years ago that is bringing the average down.
I was very excited about this tour after reading about it online. The tour did not disappoint. I would visit again!
Here are some particulars about my visit: When we got to the mansion, there is a few parking spaces but not many there is a visitor center. That’s not attached to the mansion in an old carriage house. There is a bathroom in there and a gift shop and this is where you pay for your tour.
The tour is led by a few doses on multiple levels of the mansion. Our first dose and Brenda gave us a tour of the outside of the mansion. Inside on the first level, we then toured with Debbie. And then on other subsequent floors, we toured with Lisa. All three doses were very informative, dressed in period attire and were all friendly and accommodating.
The mansion itself is exquisite inside. You could take photos as well. I will say the outside of the mansion isn’t as aesthetically pleasing with the limestone block, but the family that lived there back in the day must’ve liked it.
There are some interesting inventions inside. It always amazes me how the wealthy Victorians always had the latest technology.
There are steps on this tour to go upstairs and downstairs and there’s no handicap accommodations for that. There are chairs here and there in the various rooms if you need to sit down.
The tour took about two hours. The price for the tour was $12 for an adult. I don’t remember if they had senior citizen discount or AAA discount.
