点评：We wholeheartedly recommend Delta Discovery Tours to anyone who wishes to have an extraordinary experience exploring the ecosystems of the Mississippi River Delta.
Our time with Captain Richie on the Tale of Two Deltas tour was truly the jewel of our trip. Richie has such a vast and deep connection with this place. He asks each member of the group about their interests, so you have the sense that every tour is highly adaptable, and for us, it was wish-fulfilling with so many species seen, and insights gained along the way. Richie is a humble, exquisitely qualified guide who lives and breathes the delta with great care for the whole planet and genuine curiosity about his guests and the perspectives they bring. His experience and wisdom shine through the joyful ways in which he shares the history of the region, highlights the causes and effects of our actions on nature, nature's inherent awareness and resilience, and how we can collectively envision possibilities for a successful, sustainable future.
We loved every moment of our time on the water, observing the countless treasures and challenges of this incredibly precious place. There is so much to learn and appreciate. It was a pleasure to receive this amazing introduction from Captain Richie.
We also had the privilege of stepping into one of the beautiful mangroves along our route, and stopping at one of the barrier islands between Scofield Bayou and the merger of Bay Coquette and the Gulf of Mexico, where we had the opportunity to do some hands-on 'ecotourism' picking up trash together!!! We can't thank Richie enough. We rejoice in all he is doing to share the Mississippi River Delta with others and make the world a better place!
