点评:I thoroughly enjoyed my tour with Kimberley Safari Tours. It's not for the faint hearted, though. The distances in the Kimberley are large which necessitates long drives and early starts. It's an adventure, not a holiday.
We were up at 5am, packing away tents and mattresses and helping load the bus every morning (except the morning we had to up at 4;30am!). Don't even think about exceeding the allowed bag size; you're the one who has to load it into the restricted space in the bus!
Our two guides were fantastic. Tim could explain the geology of the region and Andy has a deep interest in Aboriginal culture. We could't have asked for better. They both were excellent guitarists and singers and had lovely sessions around the evening campfire.
We visited all the attractions that the luxury tours (two and half times the price) went, plus Wolfe Creek Crater, to which they don't visit because there's no accomodation.
This is a super tour for people who can camp and enjoy helping with the cooking, firewood gathering and bus packing. These activities lead to a wonderful bonding between the guests.
