An agreeable setting, but unfortunately one that no longer lives up to its past

点评：We have played this course several times over the years, it is genuinely sad to see how much it has declined. Once a good, well-balanced course with enough challenges to satisfy all levels of golfers, it now feels neglected. The region’s frequent winds can still provide a formidable natural hazard, but it is no longer the biggest issue.
What really detracts from the experience is the lack of etiquette from some players- loud conversations, constant complaints, mobile phones in use while others are teeing off. It is irritating and suggests that on-course supervision is lacking. The marshal should be far more attentive. You would expect much better from a club that once enjoyed a certain stature.
Compared to many courses around the world, this one seems to have lost the very Spirit of the Game. Arrogance and unfriendliness are, unfortunately, common among some members and regulars, while the only genuinely pleasant interactions tend to be with visiting players from other regions of France or from abroad.
The disappearance of the former restaurant, is another clear sign of decline. It once offered a proper dining experience with a good chef and an appealing menu; today, il has been reduced to a token offering of snacks - crisps and processed food - served by staff who seem disengaged and, at times, borderline rude.
Overall, this place has deteriorated significantly, almost to the point of no return, but still charging handsomely high fees. A real shame.
