点评:During 30+ years of my travels I climbed almost every tower or famous high rise worldwide - certainly more than 50. As far I remember there's no worse than Tashkent's, and for several reasons I'll explain.
The only reason I don't give 1 star is a nice exterior, as from outside the tower is really beautiful.
- When entering you wait 3 lines. First line is the most stupid one, probably Soviet legacy - at the front desk you wait to get a paper with the number of people in your party written. With that paper you go to the second line by the counter where you buy your tickets (around 5$ pp). After that you move to the third line for the elevators which is chaotic - most locals jump in front of you, push you,...etc
- Elevators are tiny and slow - only two of them with, I think, 10 people capacity each,
- After almost an hour waste of time you reached the viewing platform (this is the lower one, the upper you cannot climb as it's for telecommunication purposes),
- No outside area viewing - only through windows which are awfully dirty and stained,
- Millions of flies fly around you, never seen such,
- Finally the views you initially came for are underwhelming - Tashkent panorama is nothing to write home about. Best you can see are many parks and greenery city is famous for and the snow capped mountains in the distance at the border with Kazakhstan.
