点评:Challenging artwork (in a good way). Well maintained and attractive walks through mature woodlands.
But £10 to bring your dog with you? Seriously? That’s more than a child ticket, and smacks of a fine, not a ticket. It’s not as if they bother to make any special provision for canines (not even a fog bin in sight). The only welcome they got was from the lovely lady in the gift shop- and from other visitors (who were most taken with them).
And the food? Rip off prices for average food served by people who didn’t know what they were about. £25 for their ‘signature dish’ of lobster roll (not even toasted) and a bowl of chips- didn’t even bother with any garnish or salad to go with it. And £6 ish for a (dry) merengue with single (probably long life) and not whipped cream with a runny sauce of berries. They’d forgotten to order in chocolate powder so no hot chocolates or mochas and the cappucino was poor. Anything good? My husband said the coronation chicken was tasty.
In short:
Take a camera.
Take a picnic.
And leave the dog(s) at home
