You haven’t grasped the dunes and what lies underneath until you take this tour!

点评：We heard about the educational and fun quad tour through the dunes by Fanie and we are so glad we could fit it into our schedule. Fanie is extremely knowledgeable and passionately explained about the history of Walvisbay, the dunes and about the people who lived there before the Germans arrived. He gave very clear instructions as to how to operate the quad and has safety in high regard.
During the trip with Fanie he showed us human footprints that have emerged from underneath the dunes and solidified in the mud, as well as that of elephants, hippos, buffalos, giraffes and many more who used to roam what is now the desert millennia ago. Truly fascinating! The tour had so much more than what I am putting down here; make sure to do this tour as it is worth coming to Walvis Bay for!
