宝峰湖的点评
点评：There is a bus no. 2 that goes directly from Santo Domingo International Hotel that we stayed that goes to Baofeng Lake. The fare is RMB 2. On my last day at Zhangjiajie, I decided to drop by the lake to have a look. But I think you can skip this attraction if you do not have the luxury of time.
Firstly, the entrance ticket is overpriced at RMB 110. Foreigners, including seniors, are not entitled to any discount. Secondly, the boat ride is just a short ride round the lake with two or three local song performances and only a small park near the entrance to show one or two `giant' salamanders in the pond. The only plus point is a statue of the Monkey God Sun Wukong erected near the park to tell visitors that this was once the filming location for the film Journey to the West.
I don't think it is worth the money spent. Nevertheless, I do note that there is a hiking trail, and if you have the luxury of time, you can continue with the hiking after the boat ride.
