You can never say you have visited Zhangjiajie without going to Huangshizhai.

点评：This is the first scenic attraction we visited in Zhangjiajie Natural Forest Park. It is a huge stone platform with an altitude of over 3,540 feet. It gathers the most natural wonders in Zhangjiajie. This is also the first scenic spot where the `Avatar' was filmed. As the saying goes, you can never say you have visited Zhangjiajie without going to Huangshizhai.
We came here by the South Gate and took a cable car all the way to summit. There are 2 tour routes on the Huangshizhai summit. One is the 2.48-km-long Grand Circle Route dotted with more classic attractions, and it takes us 2 hours to complete. There are quite a reasonable number of steps to climb, and our next destination at Golden Whip Brook helps to neutralize our physical strain with flat walking.
The views here are breathtaking, and the village is surrounded by steep, knife-like cliffs, offering the largest and most expansive viewing platform for the sandstone peak forest that Zhangjiajie is famous for. We came across the Greeting Double Gate, the Zhang Lian Tactical Formation, Huang Shigong's Inspection of troops, Mounds left from the Heaven Bridge, Lovers' Peak, Echolic Cliff, the Five Fingers' Peak, etc. You are near the Echolic Cliff when you hear loud shouts and echo at the background.
Wonderful exploration and remind me of the Blue Mountains in Sydney.
