点评:Zhujiajiao ancient town ,a 1700 year old water town is built around a network of canals and rustic old style bridges . Known as the Venice of Shanghai or Pearl Stream, it is popular for its traditional Ming & Qing dynasty architecture, criss crossing canals, and rustic old style bridges.
The pavement is uneven, the lanes are narrow, thus with hugh crowds, so you cannot move quickly. However there are lots of places to sit and people watch, or browse the small shops. have a coffee and browse the small shops.
The streets has souvenir shops, antique shops, restaurants, tea houses and many food outlets. Local sellers demonstrates on their food making.

The short boat ride was worth doing , it passed through beautiful historical buildings set along waterways. Some tourists are seen all dressed up with makeup from the shop ready to have their memorable photographs taken. We seem to be a bit too early ,the museum is not opened while we were there.
We end the day by having a typical lunch in one of the restaurant.
