点评：Our visit to Biesanz Woodworks was truly unforgettable and easily one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica. As part of our MBA program focused on understanding small businesses, we had the incredible opportunity to meet the owner himself, who welcomed us with warmth and a great sense of humor.
He personally guided us through the workshop and shared the rich history behind his craft, explaining how he curates wood and the inspiration that fuels each unique piece. His storytelling brought the artistry to life, and it was fascinating to learn about the creative process from someone so deeply connected to his work and sustainability. So many interesting facts. One in particular are the list of famous people that have his pieces.
Before reaching the woodshop, we strolled through his lush garden, which felt like a peaceful retreat in itself. The entire experience was intimate and authentic—far beyond what you’d expect from a typical tour.
We were thrilled to purchase some one-of-a-kind items from his store (which were extremely affordable), each of which will be a lifelong treasure and a beautiful reminder of this special visit.
