点评:I booked a tour of Paradise Mill and didn't know what to expect. I was enchanted! Tina, our guide, is so knowledgeable and really helped to illustrate the lives and history of the mill workers, as well as explaining the very intricate and skilled work involved in silk weaving. I loved the little extras like learning the origins of "sabotage" and "heirloom" as well as placing local dignitaries behind many of the street names in Macclesfield. I enjoyed a cup of tea in the cafe (well, 3 cups is actually what I got out of the teapot) drunk out of a proper bone china cup and saucer. I had a quick look around the exhibits in the Silk Museum, but will have to go back next time I am in Macclesfield.
Note: I'm sure it was just me being dim, but I didn't quite realise that I needed to join the Paradise Mill tour in the Silk Museum shop, so spent some minutes wandering around outside Paradise Mill looking for the entrance. Signage is non-existent.

注:我猜可能是我太迟钝了,我没意识到需要在丝绸博物馆的商店里参加天堂纺织厂的参观,所以在纺织厂外面转悠了好一会儿才找到入口。那里没有任何指示牌。
