Great for boaters, if your not a boater ....not much to do

点评：Beautiful scenery surrounds a huge reservoir that is in Colorado and New Mexico.
If you are not a boater or not renting a boat there is not much to do. We forgot a part for our inflatable kayak and we're not able to enjoy the lake. There are some short hiking trails which we do and enjoyed . Some trails are easy to follow, others we could not see where the trail was.
Our campsite was generally clean. We stayed in a primitive site at Areboles point with some nice shade. The fire pit at our campsite was full of ash and had not been cleaned in a while. When we had a fire the embers jumped out of the pit because of the high volume of ash. The campsite was nice because it offered great privacy, and was nicely shaded by trees, beautiful view of the resoviors. It was possible to launch a kayavk, or other boat if your willing to hike down a bit to the shore. If your looking for easy launching of non motorized crafts windsurf beach would be better, but it has no shade.
There was a food truck at the marina that we enjoyed.
We had reserved two nights of camping but we ended up packing up camp and heading home, we felt there wasn't anything else for us to do given the wind, lack of a working boat and lack of hiking. We had already driven to see the new Mexico side. We enjoyed the journey and drive to and from Navajo more than the destination.
