点评:Pakamara bessen groter en takken hangen omlaag
The coffeetour at Dos Jefes is really worth going to. It is inspiring to see and hear how they run their coffeefarm. They grow their coffee in an organic way and the coffee grows amongst other plants and trees (agroforestry and permaculture). They are paying their workers a fair wage and provide decent housing. They are cooperating with other farmers in the area, also indigenous ones. And where possible direct trading is the way of doing business.
The farm looks great as well. It’s a beautiful place. And not at the least: the coffee tastes great.
We visited as a family (kids 7 and 9 years old). For the kids the surroundings are great to play. They loved the dogs and loved to see a hummingbird nest with baby hummingbirds. The tour itself wasn’t interesting for them (for they didn’t understand what was said in English). They enjoyed themselves anyway and my husband and I really liked the tour.
If there is a way of growing and trading coffee it’s the way Dos Jefes do it. Go and see for yourself.
