点评：There is lots of rebuilding of boardwalks in the parking areas. That is great, but if they are rebuilding they close the parking area, they are building on. There are toilets at each parking area, (always take tissue). . . Not the park ranger's fault people are filthy and use the toilet paper up. The beach area here is lovely, and worth spending some time at. There is a boat launch area about half way; with parking, but that too is under construction. We usually see Manatee here, but the deck is under construction and you aren't allowed out there, so difficult to see anything. This is a National Park, so if you have a Park pass us it. I agree - Not enough signs posted to remind you" don't park on the grass", eg; side of the road. Only marked parking lots are for parking. Obey the speed limit signs, they do enforce them. Check the spaceX website for launch days . . . . because they actually close off the beach entrance at some point, , I believe the clear the beach and all parking, then they open the gates about 1 hr before launches and you stand in line to pay and get a parking place. We have been fortunate to see two launches and didn't even plan it. People think they have to park at the first parking areas to GET THE BEST LOOK. .. NOT SO, , , you can park at any area parking lot and go out to the beach to see the rockets launch. . You may not see the pad, , but as it launches up, you can see the rocket and flames just fine. Taking binoculars will help you see when it discharges the bottom. We love to take our cameras and usually there are pelicans flying along the beach, with terns and other birds also. I have some nice images of the rockets and what a great experience.
NOTE: Don't forget to take a hat and some water. It gets hot just waiting for the rocket to go up, and beach walking is hot also.
