Gem in the heart of Cambridge
剑桥大学植物园的点评
点评：Whilst a little pricey, in the right season this botanical garden is a lovely gem in the centre of Cambridge to have a picnic in or see or the blooming flowers and birds. With a student card, it gets even better as you can come in for free.
The greenhouse has lots of different sections featuring different biomes, and I was lucky enough to see the iconic moonflower when it bloomed. There are also jade vines that will bloom an incredible jade sea green colour which you rarely see in the natural world so feels very special. They also have a strong collection of different cacti.
Outside, the little stream grows huge water plants over summer and there is a large pollinating landscape where you can have picnics nearby. The cafe is also not bad and in spring the peach blossoms are beautiful though I didn't get to see them in full bloom. Whilst it is not the largest botanical garden nor the most beautiful, clearly a lot of thought has been put into curating each part of the area to be its own special thing, and I appreciate that a lot!
